Nice work.

Nice track!

It's a wee bit too heavily compressed.

Really nice ideas and the sound design is excellent, but it would sound a bit more coherent if you dial back the gain on your compressor/limiter.

This is really good.

My only gripe is that the snare is getting almost completely lost in the mix.

I kept waiting for a punchier snare to smack me in the face but it didn't come.

This is decent.
I'm a sucker for a nicely chopped amen break.
Nice work.

This is very unusual.

The whole discordant nature of it, I wasn't too sure about initially.
I persisted, and I'm glad I did.

It's like free-form jazz, on meth.
The drums are excellent. Crisp and beautifully sequenced.
Plus it's DnB, so it was at least a 3.5/5 to begin with.

Really nice work on this. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thanks for including my tune in with all this other gold! <3

Track selection and beatmatching are on point.

Sick mix!!!

Nice work!
Mine is sounding a little different to this, especially how I've used the piano.

I love the drums in this though. They have that trademark Quarl character to them.

Quarl responds:

Was listening to what I sent you then this, didn't even realize I used my "comfort chords" in such close proximity. I'm embarrassed, let me know if you want any more material to work with :')

Don't remaster it.

It's punchy af.

I really like this.

Those drums give me a really nice kick in the chest.

Sound design is ace, as per usual.

I think the vocal is maybe a little loud, but only the tiniest bit.

I really like the overall compressed sound. It suits the vibe of the track and makes the kick and snare absolutely thump.

Would love to do a collab at some point as you have lots of awesome ideas and I think we could make a pretty banging track.

6/5
:P

Quarl responds:

lol, thank you Qshunt. sometimes you can't tell something is over compressed unless you immediately listen to someone else's track that is better mixed and mastered. If I listen to this, then skip over to something Demonicity is posting, there is clear loss of dynamic range on this track. It's a subtle nuance but once I know a track could be mixed better, it ruins the value of the track to me. If everything sounds nice and loud to you, maybe you have a good sound system that is letting you max the audio past what I intended? I can't set up my PA system because I'm currently sharing an office with my fiance, which means I can't mix and master bass music for big speakers and subs as it's intended :C

A good sound system will let you blast a quiet track but if you compare pro tracks to amateur tracks on say laptop speakers, headphones, or desktop monitors you'll notice that an over compressed track will sound quieter than the tracks it sits next to when pushed to 100% volume. There is a very fine nuance between a nicely mixed brick and an overcompressed brick. This track is a little too busy for it's own good, it's a poorly compressed brick but I'm happy people still like it.

I would gladly collaborate with you on something. I got plenty of time for a collaboration but I'm hitting a brick wall on a few tracks. Give me a day or two to whip up a few stems, zip up a sample folder. I'll send you a PM at some point, we can continue this conversation with some back and forth. Give me a minute :)

Your tunes are always impressive, Creo.

Top notch production and I absolutely LOVE the composition. The transitions are completely seamless and work beautifully.

Excellent tune.

I make electronic music. I especially love producing Drum and Bass music.
